Welcome to all the competitors, families and friends heading to our regions to experience the 2022 Victorian Open.

It is with great pleasure Greater Shepparton has the opportunity to yet again host this wonderful event and partner with Bowls Victoria, Shepparton Park Bowls Club and the many other clubs involved from the Goulburn Valley, whose organisation and enthusiasm helps bring together these championships for everyone to enjoy.

During the eight days of competition I hope you have a wonderful experience at the many excellent facilities we have and get a moment to discover our vibrant region, with our friendly hospitality, booming dining scene and many unique attractions to explore.

The Henselite Victorian Open is Bowls Victoria’s premier event and the largest bowls event in Victoria. Since its inception in 2011, the event has become a popular playing destination for both professional and grassroots bowlers.

The Henselite Victorian Open provides a unique opportunity for every level of bowler to challenge themselves and their fellow competitors in a professional environment. Over 2,000 domestic and international bowlers contest the eight-day event over the four disciplines of Singles, Pairs, Triples and Mixed Pairs.

The Henselite Victorian Open is open to men and women who play for a slice of a $50,000 prize-purse.  As well as the seven titles up for grabs, the Vic Medal is also awarded to the best-performed bowler of the tournament who accumulates the most points across the event’s four disciplines.

The Victorian Open is open to all bowlers affiliated with a State or Territory Association that is affiliated to Bowls Australia, or are affiliated to an international body that is a member of World Bowls. There is no prequalification and entry is open to bowlers from anywhere around the world.

The Victorian Open is a Bowls Australia ranked event.
